Terms and Conditions

We want you to get the most out of your vacation. For your own guidance, please carefully read and be sure that you fully understand the TERMS & CONDITIONS as stated below. Receipt of your payment deposit and/or beginning the tour represents your acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions. We will be happy to clarify any questions you may have. Your reservation with us confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to each and all of the above conditions and limits on responsibility.

RESERVATIONS
Reservations can be made by
e-mail or facsimile. Reservations should be made at least 60 days prior to departure date. Later reservations may be accepted up to 30 days before departure subject to availability and a surcharge. A $150 per person late sign-up fee is payable for any reservation made 30 days or less prior to departure., unless a notification is given to you in writing. If a reservation is made within 30 days before departure, full payment must be made. All bookings are subject to availability at time of reservation. (Travelers residing outside the United States are also required to pay a $150 fee to cover courier shipping costs of pre-departure and final document materials.) In other words, book early so we can plan. Prices are quoted in US dollars and must be paid in US dollars. Full payment is due at the time of booking for reservations made less than 30 days prior to departure.

Payment for air tickets is due at the time tickets are issued and may be paid for according to the acceptance policies of the carrier. Card fees must be paid for at the time you submit applications, usually 5% extra. Prices listed are subject to change. We do our best to avoid raising prices, but as we publish our prices a year or more in advance, we must reserve the right to add a surcharge to the price of the tour at final billing, or to modify or cancel a tour, if we are faced with significant increased costs and/or currency fluctuations over which we have no control. We are happy to tell you details. If you pay according to our requirements, we will not cancel unless for serious problems like serious illness.

DEPOSIT
A non-refundable deposit of 20% (about $200) per person is required at time of reservation. This allows us to start planning, make phone calls, and reservations. Balance is due 30 days prior to the departure or commencement of the service. Please allow 4-6 weeks to process any refund due you. Receipt of deposit and/or starting your tour confirms your reservation and any deposit is applied toward final payment. Payment of deposit constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the Terms and Conditions.

PAYMENT
Payment can be best made by WESTERN UNION or PayPal (Recommended).

I. Pay by Western Union : http://www.westernunion.com

Step 1 : Go to the Western Union Agent Location nearby you. Fill in the money order. Mail to the country : China City: Beijing Payee's name : First Name: Chen Last Name:Chunjie
Step 2 : Submit the form filled and money to attendants. Accept the Money Transfer Control Number . Please remember Money Transfer Control Number carefully and make a note of it.
Step 3 : Inform us of the Money Transfer Control Number and Sender Name (Usually your name). Please send to us the Money Transfer Control Number and the Senders Name by e-mail or phone. We can receive your remittance 15 minutes later. We will send you an email that we have received it.
1 . E-mail : Sales@TravelInnerMongolia.Com
2 . Telephone : 0086-0 136-010-29468

II. Pay by PayPal

5 % Tax and Transfer fees (about $15.00 total) will be added. PayPal and the charge card companies charge about 5% and this charge is passed on to you along with the transfer fee. So you pay a deposit of US$200.00 plus the 5% and transfer fees. Sorry. This is the price you pay for using a very easy system. Read carefully the 'User Agreement' and you will see all fees involved. The total should be about US$215.00, but read the 'User Agreement'to get an accurate number.

Just click on the "Pay Now" button on the first page and follow thew instructions. Simple. Your credit card is billed and we have your deposit. If you use this method, please let us know so we can verify things.

IV. Pay be wire.

This I have used many times and it works well. Basically you go to your financial institution (Bank, Savings and Loan, etc.) and they wire the money electronically to an account. Tell us what you need in terms of the swift number, account number, and so on. Ask your bank And gthey will tell you what they need. This works well.

All methods involve a fee. Can't get away from this. The most convienient is PayPal although all methods work.

CANCELLATION CHARGES (You)
15 days before departure............50% of tour cost.
8 to 15 days before departure..............70% of tour cost.
2 to 7 days before departure..............100% of tour cost.
No refund will be made for unused travel services or any portion thereof, nor is the price or value of unused travel services exchangeable for alternative arrangements. In other words, if a hotel or other place will not give a refund to us, you loose that. All air tickets are non-refundable, valid only for the flight and/or dates purchased and cannot be exchanged or transferred. Should you need to cancel your travel plans, please notify us in writing immediately (fax is acceptable). At the time we receive written notification of your cancellation, the above charges apply. I copied most of this from another travel site and modified it. I think it is onerous. Basically what this says is that if you cancel and have paid a deposit, you may not get all of it back. We incur costs in making arrangements.

MEALS
Meals are included as specified in the itineraries, breakfast and dinner. Both are good meals. Lunch is not included and you must pay extra for this. Voluntary non-usage of breakfast or dinner or any meal is non refundable and non exchangeable if they were included. Please know what meals are and are not included. In general, if you pay for meals yourself you can eat what you want, and meals are less expensive. I hate it when some tours give too much food. This way you can eat what you want at lunch. We usually stop at a big supermarket the first day. This is your chance to get drinks, wine, and snacks. In hotels either these things may be very expensive or not available.

ELECTRICITY
Electrical voltage is 240 volts, 50 Hz. This means any appliance that uses 200-240 volts will work fine. You are responsible to make sure that all of your electrical things work correctly. Converter transformers are heavy and bulky. Usually electricity is available in hotels, although in small towns and Mongolian tents there may be an outage for a few hours or electricity may not be available. US appliances normally will not work unless a transformer is used. Check your input voltage. Most (95%) of outlets use two round pins, European type sockets. Rarely (5%) you will have a three round pin or three square pin type. Show us what you need or have and we will help you. Some two spade type sockets (US kind) do not work well and I carry a three blade adapter which works well. Sometimes, on the grasslands, you will only have 12 volts from a car battery. Where you will likely go there will be electricity on most days. Perhaps for 1 or 2 days there may be only 12 volts. If you charge everything in hotels, you may not need 12 volts.

ACCOMMODATIONS Accommodations are based on standard rooms in smaller hotels (3 Star). Accomodations are double occupancy. If you want a single room, there could be a single supplememt. Ask. Final quotes account for this. If you are alone, fine. If you come as a couple, fine. There will be two beds in a room. The rooms are comfortable. In Mongolian tents, there is no running water, normally no toilets, and often no electricity. In some Mongolian compounds, it is like KOA. Accommodation is in a bed. There will be about two to four beds in a Mongolian tent with sometimes a stove in the center. There is little privacy. The toilet is anyplace outside away from the tent or in a separate building. You can tell us what you need when we see you.

HEALTH AND HEALTH INSURANCE
In general, tours are quite active and require a good deal of walking, frequently including stairs. We strongly recommend that you discuss any health concerns regarding these points with your personal physician. Currently, no vaccinations are required for traveling to China . As health requirements change without notice, it is always advisable to check current health regulations with air carriers when making reservation. We strongly recommend that you take out personal health and evacuation travel insurance before the trip. You are responsible for any and all health problems. There are many places to obtain health insurance such as:
http://www.internationalsos.com
SOS has an excellent new clinic in Beijing. It is fully staffed by nurses and doctors, English is widely spoken, and there are excellent Western Family Practice doctors. They can arrange hospitalization if needed or evacuation if necessary. It is strongly recommended that you have this kind of short term health insurance. I have personally used the SOS Clinic in Beijing and it is excellent. You are responsible for any and all health related costs. If you do not have any health insurance good in China, you are on your own. Medicare does not work out of the US.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommends all tour participants independently purchase Trip Cancellation, Medical, Baggage and Supplier default insurance to protect their investment and travel plans. You are responsible for all health problems. Without any insurance of Any kind, you assume all responsibility, health and otherwise.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Passports with a six-month validity AFTER the tour return date are required for all tour participants. You are responsible for obtaining your own visas. Either you can use a visa company or go directly to the Chinese Embassy. You should not have difficulty obtaining a tourist visa after October 15, 2008. Before then you can try, but the Beijing Olympics had an effect on visas. Get a visa before you book a tour. Visas can take only a day if you use a visa company and carry it in yourself. Sure you pay more. Check carefully on how long it takes to get a visa to China. If you use a visa company and mail it in with a fast carrier like UPS or FEDEX, it can take as short as a week and cost about US$250.00. If you do it yourself and use the embassy, it may take a month and cost you about US$ 150.00. Check carefully. "L" visas are fairly easily obtained, but you must give all documentatiion asked for. If I were you, I would allow a month to get a visa. A visa has a validity of up to a year, depending on what you ask for.

TOUR OPERATOR'S RESPONSIBILITY (Us)
We make and secure all arrangements for transportation, sightseeing, and accommodations for the tour concerned. Although we take great care in selecting these suppliers, we have no control over them and, therefore, cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. In other words, we cannot guarantee hotels or cars. But usually there is no problem. We act solely as agents for these independent suppliers. By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither we nor any subsidiary or affiliate of us shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, or delay incurred by you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation, or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or condition beyond the control of us, including defects in vehicles, or breakdowns in equipment. Nor shall we be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellations, natural disasters, or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, steamers, or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine, or other causes. Suppliers' liability may also be limited by law, tariffs or conditions on tickets and in particular you should read and understand the limitations of liability set forth in the airline ticket or other documentation. All accommodations, services and facilities are subject to the laws and customs of the People's Republic of China. We reserve the right to withdraw any tour in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operation of the tour, in which case the sole liability of us shall be a pro-rated refund of fees paid . We reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour should such person's visa application is rejected or such person's deportment, mental condition, physical infirmity of general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other members of the tour.

SERVICE STANDARDS
We have tried our best to describe the travel service in this document as accurately as possible. You should be aware that each country has particular features which may or may not appeal to you including weather, food, local customs, etc. There may be different living standards, practices, and conditions with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation at your destination. Such standards may or may not be comparable to those you would expect from similar establishments in your country. Note that all hotels undergo routine maintenance and renovations. If we are advised of any significant change which may affect your enjoyment of the package, we will do our best to inform you in advance. By purchasing the particular travel service you have selected, you are deemed to have made all reasonable inquiries about the travel service. We will gladly arrange pre- or post-tour services in conjunction with any of our trips. These services can be in China or in many countries. Should you find the need to change the services after initial planning and issuance of the invoice, a service fee of $50 per revision may be assessed to cover the associated costs of staff time and overseas communications expenses. Should the need arise to cancel your pre- or post-tour services after issuance of the invoice, the usual cancellation policy will apply.

Trip Documentation
Upon receipt of your deposit of 20% and signed reservation form, we will send you a Confirmation Packet which may include a suggested reading list. At the least you will get a long email or note telling you details.

Land Tour Inclusions
Prices do not include any domestic or international airfare, taxes, airport departure fees, visa fees, passport expenses, gratuities to local guides, drivers and tour manager, meals not specified in the itinerary, alcoholic beverages, insurance, single supplement (by choice or circumstance), items of a personal nature including laundry, phone calls, excess baggage fees, or expenses arising from the delay, extension or modification of a tour due to bad weather, flight delays, closure of airports, road conditions, failure of public transportation, sickness or medical emergency, political or civil disputes, government action, terrorist activities (threatened or actual), natural disasters or any other cause beyond our control.

Group Size and Pricing
Our land costs are based on a group size as noted. Any size is fine from 1 to 6. Six is maximum. We like smaller groups so you can see more. The quoted price represents a package price for the services requested and offered and an itemization of individual component costs will not be rendered under any circumstances. No refund is available for any missed days of a tour or any whole or part of a tour, accommodation, meals or any other service not utilized by the participant during the tour. In other words, if you are sick or want to do something else other than what others do, it is your cost.

Single Travelers
Single accommodation in hotels is available on most tours. Single rooms cannot be guaranteed on all tours as some nights may be spent in yurts/gers, tents, lodges, guest houses or private homes and are subject to the availability of rooms and/or camping space. Single accommodations may not be available. If you are traveling alone and wish to share with another traveler, we will do our best to match you with another roommate of your choice, as long as both agree. Single travellers are welcomed. Actually, it is better. You can see and do more. If you are part of a group of several people and want to stay alone, you must pay a single supplement.

Vegetarians
No problem. We have had them before. Nara can even cook fresh vegetables if you want. You can help too if you want.

I am sorry if this all seems so formal. I looked at several travel sites before I came up with this. Although most is accurate, we are very, very low key. Don't worry too much about anything.
