Here there are blueberries, fresh nuts, gorgeous nature, fish, wild animals, and wild mushrooms. It is a Northern temperate forest.
AO Lu garden Ewenki is located in the northern suburbs of Genhe City.
Genhe is a beautiful place. It is very remote. The beautiful picture of blue water is from Genhe. GenHe was my favorite place in China until I went more North. Here the market teems with berries, forest nuts, silk worms to eat, and fresh, fresh vegetables and fruits.
There is a nice resort close to GenHe, in the forest, where one can have fresh rabbit, deer, and so on. It is spectacular but very remote.
This is a nice Northern city. Far North.
A 3 to 4 Star hotel is in Genhe, but we will not stay here. It is in the city center. It is centrally located. Nice rooms. Electricity, scalding hot water. Very fancy TV. Across the street is a great foot massage place.
The hotel is fine. Idiosyncrasies to be sure. The floor lamp shade and socket may fall off, there is no a/c, the hot water is scalding hot.
GenHe is a quiet place. Many local foods to eat. Plants, soups, fish about 3 to 4 inches long.
We will stay in a forest lodge in GenHe. There you will hear only the sound of nature. The lodge can get 10 kinds of meat including venison to eat.
We will have fresh venison.
I have had venison twice and rabbit to eat. They also have bear, wild duck. This place is very rustic.
In the far North, the scenery is beautiful, but the accommodations primitive. The lodge has hot water, electricity, blankets, only small towels. Bring a big towel if you want one. I was awoken st 3 AM by the birds (hundreds) chirping at sunrise.
Today is the land of the midnight sun in BeiJiChun where the sun never sets.
In GenHe we will visit the Ewenki. They would have suffered the same fate as the Elunchin (see ALiHe), but the government protects these people. They are almost extinct. They get free houses, free education, a free car comes every twenty days, they are allowed to have guns for hunting (something that is impossible in China). The animals are protected for these people (elk, moose, deer, bear, and so on)
We will visit these almost extinct people and you will see reindeer in the forest, tepees, and life protected from the modern world. In the area, there are about 5 or 6 families living in the forest.
Like Mongolians, there are many tribes. There is an extinct tribe of Ewenki near Hailar.
Ghengis Khan's genius was in organizing and creating a force of competing and warring Mongolian tribes. Ghengis Khan was born near this area. Many people think they must go to the country of Mongolia to learn of Ghengis Khan. This is partly true, but he was born in this area!!! Parts of Northern Mongolia are beautiful, but here in Inner Mongolia is like you are there.
Even when Blueberries are not in season, usually you can get lots of fresh Pine nuts.
